Kelea built into the slope which takes advantage of the natural cooling of the earth and saves on energy use for fans or AC. The walls are actually the simplest way to build using local bricks that are made from the dirt/ clay in the area and then fired by making a big wood fire inside the earthen bricks piled up. So, this too is an earthen home...just that the local earth was fired into bricks! This house has a very kool design that allows a very small space to feel like a castle! Budd Adams designed and was the general contractor for the project.
