Tierraluz is about a 5 acre (16,000m2) piece of land that is officially part of the villiage of Sayulita, Mexico in the state of Nayarit. It is about a 40 min drive north of Puerto Vallarta. Sayulita is surrounded by beautiful jungle with large tropical trees. Tierraluz is right on the edge of that forest jungle and there is even a forest buffer that surrounds Sayulita which is right on the back side of Tierraluz. So the view to the south and west is jungle, and the view to the north is of a beautiful large pasture with cows or horses depending on the season, and beyond that, the ocean bordered by some small hills of Sayulita. Over half of the total area of Tierraluz is Open space common land. This includes trails, native jungle, garden space, community big lawn, community shared storage/bodega, community view/yoga deck, community well and water tanks, roads, parking and 2 food forests (orchard). The common land is owned by a mexcian civil association/non-profit made up of the individual owners at Tierraluz. Each owner owns their own private lot. All the lots and the common land are titled.
